Chief Information Officer Recognized as one of Government Technology Magazine’s
Top 25 Doers, Dreamers and Drivers of 2015
Des Moines, IA – Iowa Workforce Development’s Chief Information Officer Gary Bateman was named one of the Top 25 Doers, Dreamers and Drivers for 2015 in the April issue of Government Technology magazine. Bateman was recognized for his efforts to cut costs during a time of budget constraints all while making sure Iowa residents have access to IWD services.
Each year, Government Technology honors individuals or teams who exemplify transformative use of technology that improves the way government does business and serves its citizens. The list features government innovation and performance officers who are reinventing how agencies acquire and use technology, as well as how they measure the results; and CIOs and elected officials who are revolutionizing the bedrock systems and infrastructure that power government service delivery and public safety.
“This recognition shows the commitment of Gary Bateman and IWD to use innovation and technology to ensure the highest level of service is available to all Iowans, while still being fiscally responsible,” said Beth Townsend, director of Iowa Workforce Development.
