Cedar Rapids Area Employers' Council of Iowa To Offer Seminar

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA - The Cedar Rapids Area Employers' Council of Iowa (ECI) will offer a seminar on "Drug/Alcohol Testing and Sexual Harassment/Consensual Workplace Romances” on Tuesday, May 17, 2005, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The seminar will be held at Grant Wood Area Education Agency, 4401 6th Street SW, Cedar Rapids.

The workshop will provide assistance for business owners, managers, supervisors and human relations professionals by providing information on key elements of Iowa’s drug and alcohol testing law, how the courts and administrative laws judges are applying the law, elements of sexual harassment, and recent sexual harassment and consensual workplace romance cases. Barb Tapscott, Iowa Workforce Development Employment Law Attorney, will be the presenter.
