Des Moines, IA – The Des Moines Area Employers Council of Iowa (ECI) will hold a webinar Tuesday, May 14 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. The webinar, titled “Fraudulent Lawsuits: Workers’ Compensation, etc with Ben Roach of Nyemaster Goode, P.C.” will discuss:
• How to respond to the first notice of a claim or lawsuit
• Strategies to quickly and cost effectively deal with weak or frivolous claims once filed
• Preventative steps to protect employers from claims being filed and to be in the best position to defend claims once they are filed.
Ben Roach is a shareholder in the Litigation and Labor and Employment Departments at Nyemaster Goode law firm. Roach advises employer clients on a wide variety of legal issues, including employee terminations. Roach also defends employers against claims brought by employees and former employees in front of Iowa Workforce Development, the Iowa Civil Rights Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state or federal court.
