Council Bluffs - Please join us for a Hire Our Heroes Rural Career Fair on Thursday, March 14, 2013. Free to the public, the career fair will be held from 12:30 to 3:00 pm at the American Legion Fred Funston Post 227 at 112 North Elm Street, Avoca, Iowa 51521.

This Veteran’s Career Fair is being sponsored by the American Legion Fred Funston Post 227, MidAmerican Energy, Pottawattamie County Veteran Affairs and Iowa Workforce Development.
In addition to the career fair, a special lunch will be provided to attending employers courtesy of the Post. Candidates will be able to visit with local and regional employers who are currently hiring. All attendees should bring copies of their resumes and be prepared for on the spot interviews.
This Hire Our Heroes Rural Career Fair is a great opportunity to meet and visit with prospective employers, so dress properly, bring a copy of your up-to-date resume, a positive attitude and come meet your potential new employer. Information about how to earn your National Career Readiness Certificate will be available and a testing opportunity is being planned.
Businesses interested in attending this recruiting event are invited to register today as space is limited. There is no charge to businesses to attend. Goodwill donation of cash or non-perishable food items to the Post are appreciated for support of area veterans and their families.
