Employers' Council to Offer Unemployment Insurance Appeals Seminar

IOWA CITY, IOWA -The Iowa City Area Employers' Council of Iowa (ECI) will offer a seminar on “Unemployment Insurance Appeals – How to Prepare and Present Your Case” on Thursday, March 10. The seminar will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel, 210 South Dubuque Street, Iowa City. Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m.

The seminar will be conducted by Dan Anderson, Chief Administrative Law Judge, Iowa Workforce Development. Topics to be addressed include unemployment insurance appeals – the process, adjudication, temporary lay-offs, quits/refusal of work or recall, Iowa’s drug testing laws and preparing your case and presenting your evidence.

The $35 registration cost will include refreshments and parking. 3.5 PHR and SPHR recertification credit will be available.
