Iowa Workforce Development to host first Iowa Workforce Conference
Des Moines, Iowa – Iowa Workforce Development is planning for the first ever Iowa Workforce Conference to be held October 1st – 2nd, 2008. This day and a half conference will focus on the major issues many employers are facing.
“This conference allows employers the opportunity to get all of their employment questions answered while learning from the experience of others,” said Elisabeth Buck, Director of Iowa Workforce Development. “Employers cannot afford to miss this conference.”
Held at the Polk County Convention Complex in Des Moines, the Iowa Workforce Conference features three keynote speakers and five breakout session times.
The keynote speakers include Richard Ferguson, Chairman and CEO of ACT, Inc; Richard Seline, President and Founder of New Economy Strategies; and Karen Steinberg, Senior Vice President for the Council for Adult & Experiential Learning.
The conference also includes an Iowa Career Access Point (ICAP) Conference within a conference and a reception at Terrace Hill.
“We are proud of the information that will be available to everyone who attends,” Buck added.
