"IWD Names Jude E. Igbokwe, Ph.D., Head of Labor Market and Workforce Information Division"

DES MOINES - Jude E. Igbokwe, Ph.D., has accepted the position of Division Administrator over the Labor Market and Workforce Information Division at Iowa Workforce Development. Jude has served as a Senior Fiscal and Policy Analyst at the Iowa Department of Management since 2003. He also teaches courses in Economics, International Finance and Elementary Statistics at Upper Iowa University.

“Jude brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new position within the departments,” indicated Iowa Workforce Development Director Elisabeth Buck. “He will make an excellent addition to our management team.”

From 1998 to 2003, Jude served as Director of the State Center for Health Statistics in the Iowa Department of Public Health where he had also worked as a Management Analyst. In the early 1990’s, Jude was a Research Economist for the Iowa Department of Workforce Development. His academic record is equally impressive, having earned several advanced degrees from Iowa State University, including a Ph.D. in Education (Research, Training and Development with Economics coursework), an MPA. in Public Finance and Administration, and an M.S. in Economics.

Jude Igbokwe officially begins his position with the department on Friday, June 27th.
