Make plans now to participate in the seventh annual Discovered Resources Job Fair on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center in downtown Waterloo. This is a chance to be included the largest job fair event in the area featuring Cedar Valley employers in finance, technology, health care, manufacturing, customer service, food processing, construction, human services, transportation and distribution.
Last year over 1,000 job seekers attended and visited with more than 80 company representatives offering a wide range of employment opportunities. “This is the most comprehensive job fair in the Cedar Valley,” said Mike Howell, chairperson of the job fair planning committee. “Both employers and job seekers have found this fair to be beneficial.”
Employers will discuss employment and industry needs while displaying their venue at the Discovered Resources Job Fair. Lunch for the business representatives is included in the registration fee. Individuals seeking employment or a new career will be able to research a variety of local businesses and organizations.
Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Hawkeye Community College, Iowa Workforce Development, and Greater Cedar Valley Alliance are organizers for the event.
