Printer Friendly PDF VersionCHEROKEE, IOWA – The Siouxland Employers’ Council and Iowa Workforce Development will be hosting a meeting for employers to learn about Iowa’s unemployment laws. This meeting will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2005, from 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. The training session will be conducted at the Hy-Vee Distribution Center conference room, 1010 Riverview Drive, Cherokee. There is no cost to attend this meeting; lunch will be provided. Attendees should park on the south side of the building and assess the conference room via the elevator or stairs.
Larry Finley, fraud Investigator with Iowa Workforce Development’s Investigation & Recovery Bureau, will be the presenter. Mr. Finley will discuss current unemployment law, personnel files and how they can save you money, along with how employers can help prevent fraudulent claims for unemployment insurance. He would like to tailor his presentation to employer questions. Please submit any questions you may have with your registration to this meeting.

The Siouxland Employers’ Council is an employer group in Region 12, supported locally by Iowa Workforce Development, and is part of the statewide Employers’ Council of Iowa system.
