COUNCIL BLUFFS, IOWA – The Southwest Iowa Employers’ Council will be meeting on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Anne Jackson, OSHA Senior Industrial Hygienist with Iowa Labor Services Division, Iowa Workforce Development will be speaking on “OSHA Recordkeeping Rules, Reporting Requirements and Updates.”

- Inspections and Enforcement Process
There will be time for questions from the audience; this is a hold-harmless session so any and all questions are welcome. The Reiver Room is located in the IWCC Student Center, 2500 College Road, Council Bluffs, IA 51503.

Anne Jackson is an OSHA Senior Industrial Hygienist with the Iowa Labor Services Division, Iowa Workforce Development in Des Moines. Anne began working for the Iowa Division of Labor in 1989 as an Industrial Hygienist first for Iowa Occupational Safety and Health Consultation and Education then later for Iowa Occupational Safety and Health Enforcement. Anne became the lead worker in the Management Information section in 2002 and is currently collecting the occupational injury and illness survey data and the census of fatal occupational injuries data for the Iowa Division of Labor Services. The Division of Labor Services is responsible for the enforcement of programs designed to protect the safety, health and economic security of all Iowans. The Division enforces safety in the workplace, provides consultation to employers on occupational safety health compliance and maintains statistical information of workers’ illness and injuries.
This program has been approved for 2.5 (General) recertification credit hours towards PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI).
The Southwest Iowa Employers’ Council is a local employer group supported by Iowa Workforce Development and is part of the statewide Employers’ Council of Iowa system. All employers are welcome to attend SW IA ECI events. This employer’s group addresses workforce issues and provides both educational and networking opportunities for employers and human resource professionals.
