If you filed an initial claim from Sunday, June 26th through Friday, July 15th, please log into the IowaWORKS.gov website and ensure that you have an active resume viewable to employers. DUBUQUE, IOWA –The Iowa Workforce Development Center in Dubuque, IA will be hosting a Veterans Career Fair Thursday, November 6, 2008 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. at 590 Iowa St. in Dubuque. Businesses will be available to meet with all veterans and their spouses as well as spouses of men and women on active duty or currently deployed.
Dress for success and meet the following employers: Area Residential Care, Ashford University, City of Dubuque Fire and Police Departments, Grand Harbor Resort & Water Park, Hillcrest Family Services, Manpower and Per Mar Security. Representatives from the Dubuque Veteran Affairs Clinic will also be on hand to answer healthcare questions. There is no cost for attending the Career Fair. Please bring several copies of your résumé for employment consideration.
