Iowa Workforce Development Supports the Food Bank of Iowa
Des Moines – Iowa Workforce Development is culminating a week of Food Bank activities with a BBQ from 11:00 – 1:30PM on Friday, June 19th, on the east lawn at Iowa Workforce Development, 1000 E Grand Avenue.
“Thanks to our friends at Famous Dave’s, you can enjoy the great taste of BBQ and help raise money for the Food Bank of Iowa,” stated Iowa Workforce Development Director Elisabeth Buck.
Famous Dave’s will be on-site cooking a great lunch of Georgia chopped pork sandwiches, corn bread and sweet tea. Chips and Blue Bunny ice cream sandwiches will also be served. Tickets are $6 in advance and $7 on Friday.
