Community Organizations, Open House for Iowa Career Access Points
Forest City and Mason City – Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) has partnered with Faith Based and Community Organizations to open pilot Iowa Career Access Points (ICAP) across the state. The ICAPs create additional entrance points into the workforce system for individuals at familiar community locations. IWD will hold a Grand Opening media event on July 24th at 10:30 am to showcase the Access Points supported by the Mason City office located at 145 East K Street, Forest City, IA 50436, at the Forest City Chamber of Commerce. Later that evening, there will also be a Grand Opening from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the First Covenant Church located on 411 S. Ohio, in Mason City Iowa. During these events, attendees will learn more about future opportunities to develop Access Points within their communities and information about the upcoming October Workforce Conference to be held in Des Moines October 1, 2008.
