New Required Veterans Poster

DES MOINES, IOWA - On March 10, 2005, the U.S. Department of Labor released a veteran’s rights poster that all employers must post at their worksite. The poster is required under the federal Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Act (USERRA). Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) has placed the poster on its website to be downloaded at www.iowaworkforce.org and printed for posting. The poster and additional information on the federal USERRA law can also be found at the U.S. Department of Labor web site www.dol.gov/vets.

If employers have problems accessing the Internet to either web site they can contact their nearest Iowa Workforce Development Center to acquire a copy of the poster. Iowa Workforce Development also has a poster available at no cost that covers other state and federal posting requirements, which can be requested through Iowa Workforce Development Centers. A list of centers can be found on the Iowa Workforce Development web site.
