Public Invited to Attend the 2009 Job Expo
Des Moines, IA – Iowa Workforce Partners, KCCI Channel 8 and The Des Moines Register are proud to announce the 2009 Job Expo on Tuesday, April 28th from 1-6 p.m.
Held at the Polk County Convention Complex, located at 501 Grand Ave in Des Moines, the Expo will feature a wide-range of employers seeking to hire qualified candidates. Job seekers are encouraged to wear business attire and bring plenty of résumés.
“We are pleased to be able to participate in the 2009 Job Expo,” said Elisabeth Buck, director of Iowa Workforce Development. “We often hear bad news but the truth is there are a lot of companies out there looking for good employees. We hope this Job Expo will help match up great employers with great employees.”
The 2009 Job Expo is free to the public and will offer a range of full-time and part-time opportunities.

The 2009 Job Expo is sponsored by KCCI Channel 8, The Des Moines Register, and Iowa Workforce Development, in partnership with AARP, Experience Works, Iowa Employment Solutions, Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Job Corp and the New Iowan Center.
Join us immediately following the Job Expo for an in person networking event on the lower level of the Polk County Convention Complex. The event is being hosted by Iowa Workforce Development, 2 THE TOP – Career Advancement Strategies and MetroLinkz and will last from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
