Sharing the Experiences of Reintegrating into Civilian Life After Deployment
ORANGE CITY, IOWA – Iowa Workforce Development and the Upper Northwest Iowa Employers’ Council, in partnership with the Iowa Committee for Employer Support for the Reserve and Guard, will present “Changes to USERRA and New Veteran FMLA Laws, and Sharing the Experiences of Reintegrating into Civilian Life After Deployment” at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa on August 6. The program is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. There is no registration fee, and lunch will be provided courtesy of ESRG at no cost.
Seminar highlights:
• Learn steps you can take to assist returning service members in your business.
• Discover resources available to employers with returning service members and their families.
• Get updates on laws relating to the rights of veterans and their employment.
• Hear perspectives from an employee who returned from the war and an employer who hires military veterans.
ESGR’s mission is to gain and maintain support from all public and private employers for the men and women of the National Guard and Reserves through education, consultation and mediation.
