“Salute to Veterans” Open House & Free Seminar
SIOUX CITY - An seminar and open house will be hosted by Sioux City Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) Center on Tuesday, April 15th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. The event will take place at the IWD office located at 2508 4th St in Sioux City, IA. This special event is planned to pay tribute to the military veterans who have served our county with honor. All military veterans are invited to attend this event.
The seminar will feature guest speakers from: IWD Staff, Sioux City Vet Center, Woodbury County Commission of Veteran Affairs and VA Vocational Rehabilitation & Education. The speakers will be providing information on:
• Work Registration
• Job Placement
• Unemployment Insurance
• Iowa Advantage Workshops
• Résumé Assistance
• DD Form 214
• VA Claims (Disability Rating, etc.)
• VA Hospital Medical Services
• Counseling Services
• Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Services (VR&E)
• Education/Training Programs
• County Veterans Services (financial assistance, etc.)
