Siouxland ECI Presents IOSHA Safety Training Certificate Courses

Sioux City, IA – Siouxland Employers’ Council, in conjunction with Iowa Workforce Development, is offering two 10-hour IOSHA Safety Training Certificate Courses in July. The training sessions, led by Compliance Assistance Specialist Mike Whitmore, will focus on construction and industrial safety.

Held at Western Iowa Tech Community College, located at 4647 Stone Ave., these courses are geared toward employers who are interested in promoting safety in their workplace. Employers should note that this program is completely confidential and separate from IOSHA Enforcement staff, no citations are issued or penalties imposed.

Construction Trade Class
Tuesday, July 21st (10:00 – 4:30 p.m.) & Wednesday, July 22nd (8:00 – Noon)
Cost: $35 per person (includes program expenses, light lunch and refreshments)

Industrial Class

Thursday, July 23rd (10:00 – 4:30 p.m.) & Friday, July 24th (8:00 am – Noon)
Cost: $35 per person (includes program expenses, light lunch and refreshments)

. Both courses are approved for 10.0 (General) recertification hours towards PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute. A certificate of attendance will be provided at the training session.

Siouxland Employers’ Council is an employer group in Sioux City, supported locally by Iowa Workforce Development and is part of the statewide Employers’ Council of Iowa system. This employers group addresses workforce issues and provides both educational and networking opportunities for employers.
