What’s New in the Corridor?
SPENCER, IOWA – Iowa Workforce Development and the Lakes Area Employers’ Council will present “What’s New in The Corridor” at the Iowa Lakes Community College, 1900 N. Grand Ave. Spencer, Iowa on November 18, 2009. The program is from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The Corridor has adopted a four-year strategic plan for 2009-2012, and will develop annual work plans for each fiscal year beginning July 1, 2008. The primary goals for the next four years are:
1. Become recognized as the most entrepreneurial region in Iowa
2. Add 600 new primary jobs to the region’s economy
3. Attract more people and workers to the area
4. Build and maintain partnerships and relationships to ensure the success and completion of the plan.
All business owners, human resource professionals, personnel staff, attorneys, paralegals and payroll/accounting staff are invited to attend. There is no fee to attend but pre-registration is requested for planning purposes by Friday, November 13, to Bob Becker at (712) 262-1971 ext. 126 or
. This program has been approved for 1.0 (General) recertification credit hour towards PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI).
