Dubuque - The first ever tri-state employment workshop was held with administrative law judges from Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin on April 27 at NICC Town Clock Center for Professional Development, Dubuque. The workshop entitled, “A 3-D Approach” was well received by over 70 area businesses. Employers reported being impressed with the expertise of information provided by the presenters. The three administrative law judges presented information about their states’ approach to procedural matters of various employment related topics. Some of the topics addressed related to unemployment laws such as quarterly reporting, protesting unemployment claims, fact-finding and appeal procedures.
