Postville, Iowa - On June 22, 2006 a Veterans Benefits Fair will be held at the Big 4 Fairgrounds, Exhibit Building, 327 North Maple, Postville, IA from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. If you are a veteran seeking information on veteran’s benefits topics or wants information to obtain employment, this Benefits Fair is for you. Topics covered include, Veterans Benefits, Iowa Veterans Home, Health Screenings, Vet Center Counseling, Widow’s Benefits, Educational Opportunities and VA Medical Center Eligibility. Representatives from the Social Security Administration, Des Moines VA Regional Office, and Great River Counseling Center will be available to answer questions or concerns of veterans.
Iowa Workforce Development Veterans’ Career Consultants are available to provide Job Search Assistance, Resume Critiquing and Labor Market Information. Allamakee, Clayton, Fayette and Winneshiek County Commission of Veterans Affairs Representatives will answer questions to a wide range of services available through the Department of Veterans Affairs.
