Des Moines, IOWA - Job seekers are invited to attend the IowaWORKS 2018 Annual Career Fair on Wednesday, April 4, at the Ankeny DMACC Campus in the FFA Enrichment Center. Held by IowaWORKS Des Moines, the fair will offer veterans exclusive access from 1–1:30 p.m. and is open to all other attendees from 1:30–4 p.m. This event is free to the public.
Over 75 of Iowa’s top, local employers representing a wide variety of industries will attend. The career fair is a great opportunity to meet and visit with prospective employers and hand out resumes.
Job seekers are encouraged to use the services of an IowaWORKS Center prior to the event. Job seeker services include employment searches, resume and cover letter assistance, mock interviews and workforce training.
The IowaWORKS Center in Des Moines is open from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday and Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. The office is located at 200 Army Post Road.

In addition, a DMACC Career Discovery Network High School Career Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to Noon. More than 200 high school from the Des Moines area will have the opportunity to engage with participating employers to learn more about the variety of positions available as well as the education and training required. The High School Career Fair is held in partnership with DMACC Career Discovery Network and Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
