Iowa Workforce Development Names Lori Adams
Head of Workforce Center Administration Division

DES MOINES – Lori Adams has been named Division Administrator, Workforce Center Administration at Iowa Workforce Development. She has served as a bureau chief within the division since 2005 and is a graduate of Iowa State University.

“Lori brings a clear and in-depth understanding of Iowa’s workforce programs to the position,” stated Iowa Workforce Development Director Elisabeth Buck. “Her dedication to the workforce issues affecting the state will be an asset for the department.”

Ms. Adams began her career with the agency in 1989 as a Workforce Advisor in Spencer, Iowa. In 1997, she became a Regional Manager serving northwestern Iowa. In 2005, she moved to Des Moines to accept the position of Bureau Chief for Field Operations, including responsibility for PROMISE JOBS and Veterans Programs.

Prior to her work at Iowa Workforce Development, Ms. Adams primarily worked in the newspaper industry including the associate editor position with the Daily Reporter in Spencer. Lori Adams starts her new position effective July 11, 2008.
