Region 11 Veterans’ Career Fair
DES MOINES – Iowa Workforce Development is hosting a Spring 2008 Veterans’ Career Fair on March 11, 2008, from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The event will take place at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC), Ankeny Campus, Bldg. #5, Gymnasium.
U.S. Military Veterans are encouraged to attend, though the event is also open to the general public. Attendees should ensure that résumés and cover-letters accurately translate military skills and training into language that is easily understood by civilian employers, particularly for each position you are considering within their organization.
A résumé seminar for veterans and active military only will take place February 28, 2008 at the 430 East Grand Avenue workforce center in Des Moines. If you are interested in attending, please e-mail Brent Camery (
