LE MARS, IOWA – The Siouxland Employers’ Council and Iowa Workforce Development will be hosting a meeting for employers to learn about Iowa’s unemployment laws. This meeting will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2005, from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. The training session will be conducted at the Good Neighbors’ meeting room in the lower level of the Primebank Building, 37 1st Ave NW, Le Mars. There is no cost to attend this meeting.

Larry Finley, fraud Investigator with Iowa Workforce Development’s Investigation & Recovery Bureau, will be the presenter. Mr. Finley will discuss current unemployment law, personnel files and how they can save you money, along with how employers can help prevent fraudulent claims for unemployment insurance. He would like to tailor his presentation to employer questions. Please submit any questions you may have with your registration to this meeting.

The Siouxland Employers’ Council is an employer group in Region 12, supported locally by Iowa Workforce Development, and is part of the statewide Employers’ Council of Iowa system.
