Printer Friendly PDF VersionSPENCER - Two Regional Job Fairs will be held in Northwest Iowa at the last week in April On Tuesday April 25th, a Regional Job Fair will be held at the Clay County Regional Events Center in Spencer, Iowa from 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm. On Thursday April 27th, another Regional Job Fair will be held at the All-Seasons Center in Sioux Center, Iowa from 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Both Regional Job Fairs are open to the public and are free of charge! Iowa Workforce Development’s Regional Job Fairs 2006 invites job candidates to attend both Job Fairs because different businesses are registered to attend at each location. Over 70 businesses have registered to attend representing a wide rage of job opportunities in manufacturing, construction, welding, social services, entertainment, health, military, educational services, and many more.
Employers from Northwest Iowa will be recruiting for full-time, part-time, temporary and seasonal job openings such as: plant laborers, telephone sales reps, maintenance technicians, youth counselors, enrollment counselors, herdsmen, customer service technicians, mechanical, electrical & hydraulic systems installation, painters, production welders, CNAs, LPNs, RNs, equipment operators, concrete workers, construction workers, production staff, drill press operators, general assembly, metal fabrication operators, forklift operators, production department supervisors, residential instructors, plumber, heating/cooling technicians, drivers, cooks, cashiers, various casino positions, technology sales reps, material handlers, managers, bookkeepers, accounting clerks, body shop/fiberglass workers, furniture production, machine operators, paint production, packagers, fast food crew workers.
Job Candidates are encouraged to dress in business attire and be ready for on-site interviews. Candidates may bring resumes and be prepared to fill out company job applications. A Spanish interpreter will be available. In addition, Human Resource Professionals from the Employers’ Council of Iowa groups will be on hand to provide Resume Critiquing and Reviews.
Comments from job candidates about past Job Fairs included that they “met many employers who had numerous potential jobs for them, filled out company applications, were interviewed on-site and felt the Job Fairs were extremely worthwhile and would like to attend more Job Fairs during the year”. The events were well organized and provided an opportunity to offer information and job opportunities to interested candidates.
