WATERLOO - Make plans to attend an informative seminar on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 from 8:30 a.m. – noon at the McBride Auditorium- Gerard Hall, Allen College Campus, Waterloo on the latest information on civil rights and workplace harassment. The registration fee is $25.00 per person.
The seminar will be jointly sponsored seminar by Cedar Valley Employers’ Council of Iowa (CVECI), Iowa Workforce Development, and Allen Occupational Health for employers, business advisors, owners, entrepreneurs, managers, human resource personnel, and supervisors. Seminar presenters will cover information concerning what is a protected right, how to prevent harassment, compliance tips, management actions, the litigation process and more.
Presenters will be Lynn Smith, Attorney at Law, with Dutton, Braun, Staack & Hellman, P.L.C; David Meeks, Executive Director, Waterloo Commission on Human Rights; and Rebecca Johnson, Human Rights Specialist, Waterloo Commission on Human Rights.
