Iowa’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained at 3.1 percent in April. The state’s jobless rate was 3.8 percent one year ago. The U.S. unemployment rate dropped to 4.4 percent in April.

Fourth Quarter 2016 Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages Released

The fourth quarter 2016 Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) data has been released. This data is a census of jobs covered by unemployment insurance and is available for Iowa and the 99 counties by sector and subsector. The available data now covers the first quarter of 2011 through the fourth quarter of 2016.
