Iowa's Unemployment Rate Decreases to 4.1 Percent in October
Iowa’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased slightly to 4.1 percent in October. The state’s jobless rate was 3.5 percent one year ago. The U.S. unemployment rate was little changed at 4.9 percent in October.
Second Quarter 2016 Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages Released
The second quarter 2016 Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) data has been released. This data is a census of jobs covered by unemployment insurance and is available for Iowa and the 99 counties by sector and subsector. The available data now covers the first quarter of 2011 through the second quarter of 2016.

2014-2024 Industry and Occupational Projections Released
The 2014-2024 long-term industry and occupational projections, also known as forecasts, have been released for the State of Iowa and the fifteen Iowa Workforce Development Regions. The 2016-2018 short-term industry projections have also been released and are only available for the State of the Iowa.

Iowa’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained at 4.2 percent in September. The state’s jobless rate was 3.6 percent one year ago. The U.S. unemployment rate increased slightly to 5.0 percent in September.
