State Unemployment Rate Increases to 3.9 Percent in April
Iowa’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased slightly to 3.9 percent in April from 3.8 percent in March. The state’s jobless rate was 3.7 percent one year ago. The U.S. unemployment rate remained at 5.0 percent in April.
Fourth Quarter 2015 Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages Released
The fourth quarter 2015 Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) data has been released (click here to view the data). This data is a census of jobs covered by unemployment insurance and is available for Iowa and the 99 counties by sector and subsector. The available data now covers 2011 through 2015.
Iowa Community Colleges Statewide Education Outcomes Report Released
The annual Iowa Community Colleges Education Outcomes: Certificate, Diploma, and Associate Degree Programs report, which describes the transfer and employment outcomes of 2009-2010 through 2013-2014 Iowa community college graduates, is now available.
