The 2016 Iowa Wage Survey and the 2015 Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) Wages have been released. The Iowa Wage Survey data uses OES occupational wages and updates them to make wages more current for the State, MSA and balance of state areas.

Iowa's Unemployment Rate Trends Up to 4.2 Percent in August

Iowa’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased slightly to 4.2 percent in August from 4.1 percent in July. The state’s jobless rate was 3.6 percent one year ago. The U.S. unemployment rate remained at 4.9 percent in August.

The 2016 Iowa’s Workforce and the Economy is now available. The annual publication provides an overview of Iowa’s economy, trends and local economic initiatives.

First Quarter 2016 Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages Released

The first quarter 2016 Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) data has been released. This data is a census of jobs covered by unemployment insurance and is available for Iowa and the 99 counties by sector and subsector. The available data now covers 2011 through the first quarter of 2016.
