Third Quarter 2016 Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages Released

The third quarter 2016 Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) data has been released. This data is a census of jobs covered by unemployment insurance and is available for Iowa and the 99 counties by sector and subsector. The available data now covers the first quarter of 2011 through the third quarter of 2016.

Iowa’s Unemployment Rate Drops to 3.6 Percent in December

Iowa’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped to 3.6 percent in December. The state’s jobless rate was 3.5 percent one year ago. The U.S. unemployment rate increased to 4.7 percent in December.
