Wellness Works Presentation For Employers
Dubuque, IA. The Employers Council of Northeast Iowa (ECI) in partnership with Dubuque Area Labor Management Council (DALMC) and Northeast Iowa Community College Town Clock Center for Professional Development is offering an employer presentation “Wellness Works”. This presentation will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2011 from 8:30 am – 10:30 am in Room 106 at the NICC Town Clock Center for Professional Development, 680 Main Street in Dubuque, IA.
The success of any company depends very heavily on the productivity and work performance of its human resources. The ability to function and perform at a high level consistently is greatly aided by wellness programs. The introduction of such programs has had beneficial results for both the employee and the business. In this panel presentation, attendees will learn how to implement health and wellness strategies into your organization to help reduce injuries absenteeism and health care costs while increasing productivity, learn how to get a program started in your organization or revise one that hasn’t been used in awhile, learn how to get people participating in a wellness program, learn what services companies are using from outside vendors, the effective use of incentives and what has been successful for other area employers.
The panel presenters include: Michael Kelly, Director, HealthCheck 360, Cindy Baumgartner, Nutrition and Program Specialist, Iowa State University Extension, Renee Poppe, Director, Medline Industries, and Jim Schreiber, HR Director, Rousselot.
