Printer Friendly PDF VersionDES MOINES – Iowa Workers’ Compensation Commission, Mike Trier, has announced his planned retirement for December 30th. Commissioner Trier was appointed by Governor Vilsack in April 2002, and has served Iowa in the Workers’ Compensation Division for over twenty years.
“Commissioner Trier has led the Workers’ Compensation Division through an extensive process improvement, resulting in a more efficient system for Iowans”, indicated Governor Vilsack, “His leadership will be missed throughout the state”.
Mike Trier began his career with Iowa Workforce Development over 20 years ago as a deputy commissioner. He served as the interim commissioner for one year before receiving his formal appointment. Under his leadership, the division has witnessed a remarkable decrease in the back-log of cases and a decrease of 90 days in the time it takes for a petition to reach a decision.
