Claimants willtemporarily not be required to enter their reemployment activities until IowaWORKS.gov is again operational, although they should continue to perform these activities and keep their own records as you may be asked to provide this information at a later date.
Claimants and Job Seekers are encouraged to utilize the National Labor Exchange to conduct job searches which currently has approximately 50,000 Iowa job postings. From today through Friday, July 15th, Employers can also directly post their jobs to the NLx at no cost.
Iowans can also call or visit their local IowaWORKS offices, where career planners can still provide one-on-one assistance such as help with employment applications, resumes, and mock interviews.
Siouxland Area has Laborshed Study Completed
The Siouxland IA-NE-SD (Sioux City MSA) area has a Laborshed study completed. The results can be found on the LMI Laborshed web page (www.iowalmi.gov/laborshed).
The study results are available in highly visual and interactive formats using data visualization software from Tableau and ArcGIS. Additionally, an executive summary in PDF file format can be accessed using the drop-down menus on the Laborshed web page.
