Veterans Invited to the Quad Cities Apprenticeship Job Fair
Des Moines, IA – An Apprenticeship Job Fair will be conducted on Friday, November 14th to present information regarding the opportunities available for Veterans.
This event will be held at Iowa Workforce Development located at 902 W. Kimberly Road from 10-3 p.m. This job fair will allow the veterans to meet directly with representatives in order to answer their questions regarding apprenticeships.
“It is a pleasure for us to be able to offer this opportunity to our Iowa veterans,” said Elisabeth Buck, director of Iowa Workforce Development. “This is an opportunity for veterans to build relationships with some exciting earn-as-you-learn programs.”
Representatives from the following building trades will attend: carpenters cement masons, chefs, electricians, insulators, iron workers, millwrights, painters, plumbers, R.I. arsenal manufacturing, and sheet metal.
