Unemployment Insurance – What Every Employer Needs to Know
SPENCER, IOWA - The Lakes Area Employers’ Council (ECI) and the Kossuth County Employers’ Council (ECI) will be meeting on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from Noon to 2:00 p.m. at Iowa Lakes Community College, 1900 N. Grand Ave., Spencer, Iowa 51301. All employers, human resource personnel, accounting, payroll, and other staff members are invited to attend. Featured speaker will be Dan Anderson, Administrative Law Judge from Iowa Workforce Development.
Dan Anderson has been an administrative law judge with Iowa Workforce Development since 1984, becoming chief administrative law judge in 1996. He was engaged in private practice in his hometown, Atlantic, Iowa, prior to joining the agency. In 1968 he received his baccalaureate degree from Macalester College. After military service, he attended the University of Iowa College of Law, graduating in 1975. He has prepared training materials and participated in training seminars sponsored by the United States Department of Labor, The National Judicial College, the Iowa Association of Administrative Law Judges and the Iowa State Bar Association. He is a member of the National Association of Administrative Law Judges and the Iowa Association of Administrative Law Judges.
