Western Iowa Advantage Region's Laborshed Studies Completed

The communities of Audubon, Carroll, Denison, Ida Grove, Jefferson, and Sac City had a Laborshed study completed as part of the Western Iowa Advantage (WIAD) region. Lake City, also apart of the WIAD region, had a study completed earlier in the year. Additionally, the communities of Greenfield, Guthrie Center, and Onawa had a Laborshed study completed in this round. The results can be found on the LMI Laborshed page (www.iowalmi.gov/laborshed).

Iowa Workforce Development (IWD), in partnership with the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA), announced in May 2018 that a Laborshed Study would be conducted for one community in every county in Iowa at no cost to local development organizations and their partners.

This is the eleventh round of studies to be completed under this new program. To date, a total of  60 individual studies have been completed for communities across Iowa under the new funding program. Regional studies have also been released. All results are available on our website.

The study results are available in highly visual and interactive formats using data visualization software from Tableau and ArcGIS.
