If your business/program meets the requirements as listed in the Iowa Youth Employment: Work-Based Learning Waiver Application and you have been directed to this page, your program does not need a waiver for 16- and 17-year-olds to participate in hazardous work activities as long as the program continues to meet all stated requirements. However, the employer will still need to submit a parental consent form because of the hazardous work activities involved.
